Nikola Tesla was one of a kind because no one else was that fucking insane ever and no one has been allowed to be since. A lot of his shit didn’t work, but that’s what happens in science.

I’m shocked and saddened and disappointed that there are not more people making tesla coil guns that look like they’re straight out of the Dr. Gordbort’s collection. Disappointed in our economy and institutions because they don’t allow the everyday person to do that, and in our society because no one can strap on some oversized goggles and a small human sized battery to their back without being ridiculed. Absolutely shameful…

And immensely proud of those people using tesla coild to play music and that one person who made a semi-functional Half-Life 2 gravity gun. I’m immensely more invested in HackSmith Industries than anything the Tesla company has going on.

Oh god this a really hard one, umm... I would probably say something in the lines of engineering. Like mechanical engineering (a dream job is to work in the hacksmith industries for example) or like software engineering cuz like it's very open to any kind of coding which is a kinda fun tbh. But since last year or 2 years ago... I really got into animation and it would be a dream if I could work with an animation team on an anime for example (yes I know my dream jobs are extremely different XD)

Metal Iron Man Helmet with Heads up display

Hacksmith Industries bought a metal iron man helmet that was fully functioning and opened and closed using servo motors. It also had LEDs in the eyes, so they still had the same blue glow from the films. He then used a raspberry pi to make his own heads up display for it. For his first prototype he took apart a heads up display that was originally meant to be mounted on a pair of glasses, he did this so then it would fit inside the metallic Iron Man helmet.  The main goal however was to have more of a VR helmet effect with a 360-view incorporating AR. The whole reason he decided to do this was so he could make the first ever fully functioning metallic Iron Man helmet. The use of the servomotors inside the helmet is also really cool as it means the faceplate is able to automatically raise and lower itself.

I think this could be the best project that I have looked at because it is heavily tied to my love of comic books. I’m also a big fan of the Hacksmith Youtube channel anyway as I find all of the things that he does entertaining as the vast majority of his projects appeal to my love of all things sci-fi. What I especially like about this one is that it’s actually made out of metal so it has more durability than the standard helmet, also it always kind of seemed impossible to me that something like an Iron Man armour could exist so seeing him make this just fills me with some kind of childhood like joy.
